    succinct sentence

    Hi,

Does the following sentence sound succinct? Here ‘expectations’ relate to both ‘management fee income’ and ‘planned acquisitions’.

The company also reduced its 2008 EPS guidance by 5% in the face of the weakening US economy, and the expectations of lower management fee income and delays in planned acquisitions during the second half of the year.

    Thanks,

    MG.

    Re: succinct sentence

The company also reduced its 2008 EPS guidance by 5% in the face of three contributory factors: the weakening US economy, the expectations of lower management fee income and delays in planned acquisitions during the second half of the year.

My alteration is based on my assumption that the reduction has been caused by 3 things, the weaking US economy, managment fee income and delays in planned acquisitions.
