    cleaning up my closet

    Hi,
There is a song by Eminem that says "I'm cleaning up my closet".
Besides the obvious and literal meaning that fits well the song (I think he's leaving the house of his mother) is there another concealed meaning in this expression?
    Thanks.

    Re: cleaning up my closet

There is an expression, "skeletons in my closet" which could be what he is talking about. "Skeletons in the closet" are past actions or secrets that are kept hidden.

It does not mean that he is coming out of the closet, i.e. announcing his homosexuality.

    Re: cleaning up my closet

Do you mean that "clean up the closet" may also mean "to put things in order"?
    Thanks.

More likely, getting real, telling the truth, letting his feelings out.
