    variety/range

    Hi,
Are they interchangeable? "variety" and "range"?
"We have those shirts in a full variety/range of colors and sizes."
    Thank you.

The basic meaning is the same : different types of ideas/things/products
Normally interchangeable but strictly speaking range has a limit within which something can be effective

    Re: variety/range

However, in daily usage you will hear either "We have those shirts in a variety of colours" or "Those shirts come in a range of colours".

It would not be usual to hear "full variety/range" - it is implicit in the statement that there is a range of colours.
