    I don't understand the underlined sentence below.
    Would you please explain it to me? Thank you so much in advance.

    Take an ESL (English as a Second Language) class at your local community college (if you live in the USA.) Classes are free! Your tax dollar at work!

    It sais that the money you give away to the country (taxes) is not lost for you; you get ESL classes, which will profit for you (is working for you).
