- If somebody asks me: "Don't you have school today?"
If I answer: "Yes, I do (is "do" right or don't?)", does it mean that I don't have school today ?
- If somebody asks: "Snow is black, isn't it?"
If I answer: "No, it isn't", does it mean that I don't agree ?

#1 It means that you do have school today. If you do not have school, your answer will be "No, I don't have school..."

#2 Correct

Hello
I think your short answer Yes,I do for the first question is right. It means you don't have school.
Your answer for the second question is also right.
Not a teacher.

Yes, I do
means that the person has school, regardless of whether the question is do you have or don't you have.

The other thread has been closed with the answer that the responses given to me are correct, but there is no respone to my question? I am very sorry to post it here but the only answer given to my question is that the question itself is not that good English. But somehow young people use it, so I want to know if my example is correct. I don't find an answer in the other thread if my example is wrong or correct? And a very quick quoted response to my question would help a lot and would cost only 10 seconds, instead of just closing a thread. ;)

Is this example correct?
You don't have school today?
-Yes, I do. (means I have school today)
-No, I don't. (means I don't have school today)

Will a mod please close this. I have lost count of the number of times gameless has posted this question - and ignored the responses.
Can you please send me a link to a response? I only find your answer saying that the question itself is not that good English.
