    which is correct.

    while i was walking home, i met two boys. They were standing and...........(talk)

    which is better to say.

    a- talking
    b- were talking
    c- they were talking.
    thanks a lot.

    please if there is any answer provide rule .

    There is no need to repeat they or were.
