    get

I would like to know the difference between "1" and "2".

    1. He got me to talk about myself.
    2. He got me talking about myself.

    Re: get

He got me to talk: 'he persuaded me to talk'
He got me talking: 'He led me to talk, or encouraged me to talk, he made it possible for me to talk (freely).'

    I prefer this answer.
But the two sentences can also mean the same thing. Both could convey the idea that there was initially some reluctance to talk.
