    "it" as a syntactical subject

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to express your opinion concerning the following sentences?

In his youth Disraeli said in Parliament:”A Conservative Government is an organized hypocracy”.

It was Disraeli who said in Parliament: :”A Conservative Government is an organized hypocracy”.

It is in his youth that Disraeli said: :”A Conservative Government is an organized hypocracy”.

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.

I prefer the first. I would also use "It was Disraeli who said..." if I used the second.
