    Pronunciation of a christened name

I would like to know how to pronounce the name of "VENESSA", if I adapt it from "Vanessa".
Is it pronounced as "Win-Nee-Sa" or "Win-Net-Sa"?

    Thanks for advice.

You can pronounce Christian names however you want to if you are the one making it up. Usually though, "Vanessa" would not change. It would still be /v'nessa/ or /vənˈɛsa/

    "Vanessa" is pronounced with a hard "V" sound, not a "W." van-NESS-ah
In this clip from The Cosby Show, "Vanessa" is pronounced several times.
