Smile Usage of enter (about customs)

Hi! Could you please make one or two sentences with 'enter' about the following meaning for me?

    enter vt.
To report (a ship or cargo) to customs.
eg. We have enter the cusoms. ( Does this sentence make sense?)

    Thanks!

This is a special use of "enter" but I would think that your example should read
"We have entered the goods into customs" (Past tense of "enter")
