    Smile Thanks for nothing=?

I often heard this phrase but I don't know what it means exactly. Could someone give me a hand?

    Sorry, no context.

    Re: Thanks for nothing=?

If you ask for assistance from someone and they render no help whatsoever, you might say in frustration or sarcasm "Thanks for nothing."

Example: "Do you have change for a dollar? I need some coins for the parking meter."
"Yes, I do, but I'm saving it to use in the cigarette machine in case I run out of smokes later."
    "Gee, thanks for nothing!"
