Smile HMS = Her Majesty's service ?(HMS Victory)

HMS Victory is a first rateship of the line of the Royal Navy, built between 1759 and 1765, and most famous as Lord Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar. She is the oldest naval ship still in commission. She sits in dry dock in Portsmouth, England as a museum ship
Hi! The excerpt is from Wikipedia about HMS Victory.

Is HMS short for Her Majesty's service?

    Thanks!
