    Wink perfect english

    Is following sentenes are correct grammatically :

    1. "It is very cold now. Do you think it is freezing?"

    2. "Do you hear anything?" "I am listening hard but I can't hear anything."

    3. "I see that you are wearing your best clothes. Are you going to party?" "No, I am going to a wedding." "And who is the unhappy man who is throwing away his freedom? You must tell him I feel sorry for him." "He is speaking to you now."

    Yes, these are all fine, but I would but a comma before the "but" in your second sentence.

    Although the English is fine, the first question in the third example doesn't sound very conversational. I would say something like "You certainly are dressed up!" (How would that person know that he was in his "best" clothes without knowing all that was in his wardrobe?)

    I would change only one thing. Say:
    Are you going to a party?
    (If you were using "party" as a verb (not the case here) you should omit the "a".)



    P.S. Barb is right about sentence 2.
