    study/studies

    Hello

I started to work in the fourth year of my study OR studies.

Shall I use plural or singular?

    Thanks

    Re: study/studies

    Hi

As a Brit, but not a teacher, I would personally prefer studies:
"I started to work in the fourth year of my studies."

    Hope this helps

PS Does this mean that you weren't working really hard previously?

    I never worked hard

It also seems to me that "studies" sounds better
