    study/studies

    Hello

    I started to work in the fourth year of my study OR studies.

    Shall I use plural or singular?

    As a Brit, but not a teacher, I would personally prefer studies:
    "I started to work in the fourth year of my studies."

    I never worked hard

    It also seems to me that "studies" sounds better
