    Post for wet welly running

From Girl, 3, survives after being sucked down drain, carried 75 yards underground and thrown out into river | Mail Online

He added: 'From us recognising the fact she wasn't there to me pulling her out the river was less than two minutes.
'There were about 30 seconds to a minute of me trying to pull her out the hole. Then I ran to the river - I must have set the speed record for wet welly running.
'I didn't think about what could happen. I hate the thought of drowning. I did not want to think about my daughter going through that. I made my mind think of something else.

In the text above, what do the words in bold mean?

    P.S. Impressive story!

It means that he ran to save his daughter wearing wet wellington boots ( rubber waterproof boots) in a time which might be the fastest ever, it is difficult to run fast while wearing wellington boots.
