    Meaning of sentence

Can someone tell me what this sentence means?

XYZ will, over the next six months, nevertheless pay you the director stipend (at the rate that would have applied for the 2008-09 rate), as if you were again working in that capacity.

    Thanks!

    Re: Meaning of sentence

Though not working as a director, they will receive the same payment that the director would be getting this year if he or she were working.
