    pitches a fit / snarky

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to help me to find the adequate take on the expressions in bold in the following excerpt from an entertainment news?

John Malkovich plays Ozzie, a pompous CIA analyst who loses his job, pitches a fit, then decides to compose a snarky memoir.

    pitch a fit = throw a fit = have a fit = have a hell of a good

snarky = crotchety, impertinent, irritable (?)

    Thank you for your efforts.

Re: pitches a fit / snarky

pitches a fit = throws a wobbly = loses his temper.

snarky = in this context, crotchety and snide about other people.
