    Question Digresion in English

I remember having read that in English writing, digressions should be avoided, and if only they are to appear, it should be rather in a form of footnotes or similar devices. It seems to make sense, but what do you think of that?

    Thanks,
    Nyggus

    Re: Digresion in English

In academic writing, yes, but in many other forms of writing there's nothing wrong with digressing.
