    Can you offer more context?

It is hard to make suggestions without knowing what the sentence is trying to say.

    I see.

    You could write

To not use and implement the knowledge one acquires is a disastrous waste.

or keeping more in line with your original sentence

It is a calamity if acquired knowledge is not implemented and put to good use.
