I'm depending on you to keep your promise.

Could anyone explain this sentence in a simple way?

I know this meaning, but still I cannot understand this sentence.

Can you give a practical example where to speak this sentence?

Supposing someone were to say to you; "I promise to return the Rs. 1000/- you lent me within a week." you could reply; "I am depending on you to keep your promise." or "I depend on you to keep your promise."
