    Re: uncomfortably hot

Imagine yourself sitting in the sun. You are feeling warm. Then you start to feel hot. Then you start to sweat. And then you are uncomfortably hot.

You are feeling so hot that you are uncomfortable.

Ok. Imagine yourself being at a party. Everyone stops talking when you come in. You're a very shy nervous person. You don't know how to make a conversation. They pay attention to you, stare at you. And you feel uncomfortably hot. So what does it mean?

    Post Re: uncomfortably hot

Well, this time surely it's not the sun that makes you feel hot, it's your nerve system that makes your heart beat faster, leading to your feeling hot, with the temperature of your whole body increased. This is also referred to as stress. And this makes you feel uncomfortably hot.
