No. It would not be appropriate. "Grow up!" is more appropriate. But the best thing is simply to say " Is it really necessary to be so rude?", and then to ignore the person if the abuse continues, reporting it to the administration to deal with.
To come out of yourself means that you are becoming more extravert and less inturned on your own concerns.
