# Thread: high mathematics

1. ## high mathematics

I'm a bit puzzeled...

I understood I do not know what "even multiplicity" is.
Is it an "infinite quantity" of all even numbers. Or something else?

And what is finite multiplicity, unit multiplicity? Can it be related to multiplicity of a root (perhaps, I'm not sure what is this)

what is multiplicity at all? Is it only 1. the condition of being multiple.
or maybe also a synonym of "total number of things, as set of things"

I can't sleep at all with that jumble in my brain.

I think you just answered you own questions, you're right, as the name says, even multiplicity means an equation has multiple solutions, some or all of them at the same place on x axis.
However, whether you want some more information, let me introduce you this forum:Physics Forums: Physics, Astronomy, Math, & Philosophy Forums! - Powered by vBulletin
