    "bargain with"

    Hello freinds
I tried to find the meaning of this verb"bargain" and it was "agree" and other difinitions but I don't think it means the same in this context. Can anyone please explain it for me?!
Thanks in advance. (Part of a song):

"You can't bargain with the truth
'Cause whether you're right or you're wrong
We're gonna know what you've done
We're going to see where you belong - in the end

    Re: "bargain with"

In this sense 'to bargain' means 'to negotiate' 'to discuss terms with the goal of coming to a mutually beneficial agreement'.
