    reported speech

Does must in reported speech change or not?
eg: -He says: " you must leave"
-He said he had to leave or He said he must leave. Which is the right one?

In terms of obligation, must is normally interpreted as being an indicator of speaker authority, and have to normally indicates external obligation.
