    when and whenever

    My brother yawns whenever he is tired
    My brother yawns when he is tired
    Both phrases are correct? Or should we use when only like that:
    When my brother yawns, he is tired.Thank you

    I think 'whenever' suggests some emphasis: He always yawns when he is tired.
