    Which tense?

    My father went to Landon yesterday?
    One of his friends visited my father,and he asked me; Where is your father?
    He went to London.
    He goes to London.
    He is going to London.
    Which is the best?
    Can I say in another way?
    Thank you in advance.

    Re: Which tense?

    'He has gone to London.' (He went yesterday, and he is still there.)

    Re: Which tense?

    What about "He is on the way"?
    I mean;
    Immediately after my father had left home, he asked me.
    Where is your father?
    How should I say?

    Re: Which tense?

    'He has left for London.' or 'He is on his way to London.' (He has left the house, he is going to London, he hasn't arrived there yet).
