Well, if it's a racehorse, you might want to bet money on it.

If something is 'a dead certainty' it will definitely happen.

    Please, are these sentences right?

This is coming to a dead certainty!
This will come, it's a dead certainty!
The number 234 horse is going to beat the others, it's a dead certainty!
My cousin has a talking dog, he wants the I-am-making-a-lot-of-money thing to become a dead certainty.

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

Please, could you tell me why my sentence is not colloquially acceptable?

And yes, Anglika, my cousin needs a PR guy (I am guessing it means a man who can make someone famous, something related to propaganda, right?), actually I think he needs pretty much more than a PR guy to do that!

    Thanks

Because it basically does not make sense. What do you mean by I-am-making-a-lot-of-money thing ?

Well, I hear Americans talk like that all the time:

    a) I'd like to talk about the whole dumping-me-for-nothing thing!
    b) Stay away from me whether you're in that don't-talk-or-touch-me days!
    c) This is not a good time, I'm in/on a let's-discuss-our-relationship time with my girlfriend! Can I call you back?
    d) These days I ran across a paying-my-ex-wife's-bills thing, that's bad.

Of course, that's very informal, but people do that.

I understand that, but "I am making a lot of money thing" still makes no sense in the context of the sentence. It would do if it read My cousin has a talking dog, but he needs to develop thatI-am-making-a-lot-of-money thing to become a dead certainty
