What's the difference between the two? Their uses and contents.

    Re: articles/newsletters

    Hi-

An article is a piece of writing about a specific topic. In the newspaper, you will find many articles.

A newsletter is a short publication that contains articles, links to interesting sites (for an e-newsletter), and often advertising. Newsletters are usually focussed on a topic or area of interest, and the information in them is related to that topic or interest.

    I hope this helps.

    Mary

Could you please give common examples of newsletter. Are pamphlets and flyers examples of a newsletter?

    Re: articles/newsletters

Newsletter are on a specific subject sent to an audience with a common interest. It may have three or thirty articles.

If you have clients who are interested in a particular subject area, you may publish a quarterly newsletter with articles about that subject.

If you belong to a club, your club may sent out a quartelry newsletter with information about what the club has been doing and what is coming up.

A brochure is not a newsletter.

A magazine, like what we have in our church organization who sends out an issue monthly to pastors or subscribers, is a newsletter. Is this correct?

I consider the monthly publication sent by my church to be a newsletter, yes.
