    engineer - abbreviation

    Good morning,
I am translating a text where a name XY of a company´s owner is mentioned. The man is an engineer and he insists of having his academic title mentioned in the text. How do recommend to write an abbreviation for the engineer. We usually write Ing. XY in Czech language. I would prefer UK writing.

    Thanks for your advice,
    Marketa

It would depend whether he has a bachelors degree or a masters degree.

We would normally use the abbreviation as given in the country of origin.
