    prepositions in/on

    Hello again,

    in/on the streets

for example, when talking about someone performing on/in the street - which one is correct? I have seen both examples used but would appreciate any good tips.

    thanks!

it depends upon the one, either in/on the street he/she is performing.

    Re: prepositions in/on

Diane's house is UK in/US on Cherrywood Street.

According to this example 'in the street' is used by the Brits and 'on the street' by Americans.

I got this example in the cambridge dictionary.
