    Re: Sentences

To have an off night, or day, means that you're just not your normal, productive, happy self. You may be tired or distracted or disturbed or ill - you're "off."

The second sentence is a bit more obscure. Check your spelling of the last word (pron) before we try to answer that one.

    Re: Sentences

Then you have described the meaning yourself, except that when one masturbates oneself, it's not called "molesting himself." Sexual molestation is an illegal act against another person.

So apparently, his "fetish" or the thing he "gets off on" is watching a shark attack. I think in this case, however, the girlfriend didn't really mean it literally. She probably meant it in a much ligher sense, still somewhat critical of his bizarre tastes, but more like "He gets a perverse pleasure out of watching shark attacks" or even "I can't believe how he really enjoys watching shark attacks."

While there's an implication of masturbation when you say, "he gets off," we usually just mean he really gets a kick out of it, he really enjoys it.
