    Sms at work

Feel free to correct, rewrite, shorten or whatever you like...please

Hi Xxxx - From now on, as a starting point, there will be no work in the weekends any longer.
This means that I will not send you messages during the week, unless there is work the coming weekend.
I hope that the situation will change in the future and that you can take some hours at some of the other teams in the meanwhile.

    Re: Sms at work

I think you need to explain more fully what you are trying to communicate, and who your audience is. Are you the supervisor telling your weekend workers that there will no longer be any work for them? Did you normally send them a note in the middle of the week telling them what assignments they would have for the upcoming weekend?

And I don't understand the comment about taking hours at some of the other teams. Did you mean to say "teams" or "times"? Do you hope that they may take some work from other teams of workers, or at other times?

    Please try again.

    Thanks jlinger

    My audience is part-time weekend-workers.

Most of them are chinese students with limited or poor english.

Our production has been cut down - so at the moment we don't need to produce in the weekends.

    YES.. EXACTLY!

Instead of cancelling by sending sms messages to 15 workers each time - it's more easy to say: No work is the rule, so I don't need to tell you each time. Work is the exception, so I have to tell you.

They can choose to work daytime or nighttime instead of weekends.

I hope this was more comprehensible.
