    sentence structure

    Could you please tell me what is the correct analysis of this sentence :
    I have been trying to convince you that this is the right choice.

    It's a shame to see this go unanswered for so long. I think it's because we don't understand exactly what you want. Do you want to see the sentence diagrammed, or simply explained in terms of what it means or connotes, or do you want to see if it is correctly written, with the right words and word order?

    The only comment at this point that I would have is the troublesome distinction between convince and persuade. The former requires the presentation of evidence that appeals to your intellect; the latter simply requires a strong ethical or emotional argument that appeals to your heart, your moral compass.

    Other than that, the sentence appears to be well written.
