    install a bed

In the following sentence, can I use the verb ' install'?

When I opened the door, I found that there was no bed in my room. So I asked my homestay host to install a bed.

    just a student.
I am probably wrong but "install" seems to me that a bed would need to be assembled and somehow attached to the room.
My guess is "get me a bed", "arrange me a bed", "bring me a bed".
I found "Could you please bring me a bed to sleep on?" on COCA.
    JUST A STUDENT.

Yes. You would "install" a toilet or a shower. To install a bed would be to build one into the room, attached to something, perhaps in the form of a Murphy bed (the type that pulls down from the wall).

A very peculiar homestay place if no bed is provided!
