I am interested [verb] in this very interesting [adjective] story.

We saw an interesting [adjective] film last night. It particularly interested [verb] Joanna.

    Both words are adjectives.

You have to remember that only people and other animals, can be interested in something. (that is they are made interested by somethiing)
Of course people and other animals can also be interesting.

Nonliving things such as computers, cars, books, movies, games, ideas, etc. and plants can never be interested in anything.
Plants and nonliving things can only be interesting, and thus make people and other animals interested in them.

Now you should make some sentences here, and we can tell you if they are correct.

    interested ( as a verb)
Having or showing curiosity, fascination, or concern:
ex:I'm interested to hear about your family.
interested talks about the family of the person you are talking with.
    interesting ( as an adjective)
Arousing or holding the attention; absorbing
ex:The movie Harry Potter is very interesting.
interesting describes the movie Harry Potter.

    Re: Please help !!!!!

For me I was confused with this phrase;" What is interesting me", I have learnt that the phrase should be " What is interesting to me".
"Me' is pronoun and usually used after a verb or preposition, am I right??
So, the correct form in my point of view would be" What is interesting to me"

Not necessarily. What is interesting me can mean that my attention has been caught. Something interests me.
