    Is the paragraph coherent?

    Hello Everyone,

The following part is a transtalted form from our textbook? Do you think it coherent? I feel it is not smooth!

...It is needless to say that in the course of the fast growththere will be some frictions. The two sides should stick tothe principle of long-term development, work out the problemsthrough equal-footed consultations and strive for a win-win result. To politicizetrade issues or to get too emotional about them does not help solve problems; therefore we arenot in favor of such a practice...

Is there some necessity to add " on the contratry "in front of "To politicize..."

It is fine as it stands. Adding "On the contrary" does not add anything to the sense of the passage.
