Hi,
I bumped into this expression and I wonder whether it's still used or whether it's an old-fashioned expression, please.
Thanks.
PS.: It means ''bank account'', right?
withdraw from an account: take money from a bank account
draw on the account: to use money held in an account
account draw: a withdrawl using a debit card.
I'm not a teacher.
Hi jctgf,
drawing account = in a privately-owned business, a personal account of the owner, in which are recorded all drawings (sums of money drawn by him). If he takes goods from the stock of the business, their value too is entered in the drawing account.
Regards,
V.
The only time I see this term is to describe an account where a debit card is used. The person pays for the item using a debit card, much like using a credit card. The payment is taken from an account set up like a automatic checking account.
People say it is a draw account (as opposed to a chekcing or credit card account)
Thank you all for your prompt answers but I am still a little bit confused.
What's the name of that account one has in a bank, where your monthly wage is deposited and all withdrawals made with your debit card are registered?
Thanks.

Debit Account!
It is a draw account, not a credit card, savings or checking account.
