    on her 3rd attempt

    Please correct these sentences

    1.She won the test on her 3rd attempt.

    2. It is a disappoinment that she couldn't get through the test this time also. This has been her 4th test.

    3. I met my old friend today after so many years.

    1.She passed the test on her 3rd attempt.

    2. It is a disappoinment that she couldn't pass the test this time either. It was the fourth time she had taken it..

    3. I met up with my (or "an") old friend today after so many years! (It's okay to use "so many years" this way as an exclamation.

    3. I saw/met up with my old friend today after many years. (no "so" if it's a simple statement.)

    The word "meet' if usually used to mean the first time you are introduced.
