    meaning

    Hi,

    could you please tell me what "explicitly" means in the following text:

    The company shall not explicitly disclose to a third party any technical or commercial information received from Licensee.

    The company reserves the right to use any information received from Licensee for its own purposes, but without disclosing or publicizing such information explicitly or identifying its source.

    Thanks a lot!

    Re: meaning

    "Explicit" means "clear and exact".

    "Explicitly" = clearly; without subterfuge.

    Re: meaning

    Does it mean then that the company may disclose general information, but not clear and exact info?

    Re: meaning

    Essentially it means that such information is confidential and should not be passed to a third party.
