    Hi,

    which of the following is correct?

    total number of shares bought as of 16 Oct 2008 is 500,000

    or

    total number of shares bought as of 16 Oct 2008 was 500,000

    Kindly advise

    Because it is October 17th in Singapore and you are counting a running total, use "was".
