    favourably seen

A new AP-Yahoo poll shows John McCain is losing ground in how favorably hes seen. McCain faces another problem--his rival Barack Obama is more trusted on the economy, the contest's commanding issue.

    Hi teachers,
I don't understand the meaning of "how favourably he 's seen". What does it refer to?

    Re: favourably seen

It means how favourably the voting public [and particularly the ones asked the question by the pollsters] now regard McCain.
