    Cool nudge with index finger?

    Hi,
    Nudge:
to push (someone) gently with the elbow to get attention
What is the verb to use to say that someone touched another person's shoulder with his/her hand or sometimes index finger to get attention?

Can I use nudge too? Or is there another verb.

    Thanks :)

    Re: nudge with index finger?

It can mean a gentle push, not necessarily with the elbow. Generally, though, to express what you describe, one would say "I touched [him/her] on the shoulder to catch [his/her] attention".
