a construction of the type to have + the body + move

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me your highly esteemed opinion regarding the following pattern sentences? Would you explain to me the present construction of the sentences in question?

    1. It is possible in the transformer of this type to have part of the winding serve as both primary and secondary.
….to have + part of a the winding + serve…. a construction of the type to have the body move

    2. It is necessary to have the personnel be aware of the dangers involved in operating such a device.

    3. Because of the many types of turbine engines, it is not possible to list all the major components and have the list apply to all engines.

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.

In all cases, “have” can be changed to “make” (or “allow” in some cases), but “make” sometimes sounds harsh.
    All these mean the same:
It’s important to have your computer evaluate the results.
It’s important to make your computer evaluate the results.
It’s important to ensure that your computer evaluates the results.
    In other tenses:
I should have had the computer evaluate the results.
I will have the computer evaluate the results.

    And:
It’s important to make/have your child do his homework.
It’s important to ensure that your child does his homework.

I won’t have my child watching that rubbish on TV.
I won’t allow my child to watch that rubbish on TV.
I’d prefer to have my child learn Italian than Spanish.

Someone else might explain the grammar explicitly.
