    Smile Special Pronouns

What are "special pronouns"? My son has a homework paper that asks him to list the 6 special pronouns. We have college degrees and can't figure this one out. Do they mean posessive (hers, mine, theirs, etc.) or maybe pronouns used when you don't know the noun (who, what, which, etc.)? HELP!! Thanks.
