Many a boy and/or girl has/ have made the same mistakes.
Which are the correct words to use?
Many thanks in advance,
I looked up my dictionary.
"Many a" is a idiom, it is used with a singular noun and correlative verb is a singular verb to mean "a large number of".
So, in my view, if the conjunction is 'or', we must use "has".
If the conjunction is "and" and in this case that mean "many a couple" (boy and girl), the verb is has, esle (that mean "many a girl and many a boy"), the verb is have.
PS: This is in my view, i'm not sure 100%
