    correct verb/conjunction

    Many a boy and/or girl has/ have made the same mistakes.

    Which are the correct words to use?

    I'm not 100% sure but i think it should be and...

    and has .

    "has" because of "many" ...

    I looked up my dictionary.
    "Many a" is a idiom, it is used with a singular noun and correlative verb is a singular verb to mean "a large number of".
    So, in my view, if the conjunction is 'or', we must use "has".
    If the conjunction is "and" and in this case that mean "many a couple" (boy and girl), the verb is has, esle (that mean "many a girl and many a boy"), the verb is have.
    PS: This is in my view, i'm not sure 100%
