Could you help me with this sentence?

There is a sentence that goes like, just to show everybody that we were having fun, we put happy faces on failing test papers, sticky fridge doors, bathroom mirrors. What does this sentence mean?

    Hello,
Your question is not so clear, I'm afraid.
But if you are asking for the "meaning" of this sentence:
[In order] to show everybody that we were having fun, we put happy faces on failing test papers, sticky fridge doors, bathroom mirrors.
This sentence seems to be a statement from people who want to add some fun to their life by drawing "happy faces" (e.g. a smiley) on dampened mirrors with their fingers... Or, if you are taking an exam and it's not going too well, you'll draw a smiley on the exam paper.
For this reasons, it seems that this happy, positive statement, is likely to come from students.
    I hope this helps!
    Regards,
    Thomas (not a teacher)
