    Have you typed it correctly?

    Are you working at the banquet? = Are you taking some role in serving people during the big and important meal.

    Are you working the banquet? = Are you approaching people at the big and important meal in order to sell them something or persuade them to do something.

    Hi, cmp!

    Are you 'working the banquet' is colloquial. It means 'Are you working at the banquet?'. Add some question marks (obviously inadvertent typos) and Anglika's statements are correct.
