    Ask about a question

Will any native speaker please help me by answering the following question?

I came across this multiple choice:

The home improvements have taken what little there is ______ my spare time.

    A. from B. in C. of D.at

The given answer is C. But I feel there is something wrong with this sentence. Could you tell me if it is a good sentence? And if it is correct, could you please paraphrase it? Thank you!

It is a good sentence, and "of" is correct. You could add 'all of' between "taken" and "what", and maybe it will be easier to understand.
It could be rewritten as, 'The home improvements have taken all of the little spare time I previously had.'

If you still don't understand it, please ask again

    Re: Ask about a question

What is wrong with the sentence is a clash of tenses:

The home improvements have taken what little there was of my spare time.

The home improvements are taking what little there is of my spare time.
