    quantum of solace

    Hi there,
    The new James Bond film will be on next week. But i don't know the meaning of the film's name: Quantum of Solace. Could you help?

    Quantum is the name of the terrorist organisation against which James Bond struggles. It could go: Un Quantum de réconfort although the French tittle of the film is Chaleur humaine.

    That being said, 'quantum' is in physique the smallest measure. The main idea may be there is a small part/quantum of relief/reassurance/solace.

    And to make it so common into French, I would say: Un peu de réconfort (as if you were in an evil world).
